
Sarah Monteith
Sarah joined Fulcrum from the office of Rep. Derek Kilmer (D-WA), where she served as a legislative assistant handling education, appropriations, workforce, infrastructure, immigration, and judiciary issues. She was one of the lead House staffers advocating for the expansion of Apprenticeships and Pre-Apprenticeships in Computer Science and Information Technology, and authored the Youth Workforce Readiness Act to expand afterschool learning programs through WIOA reauthorization.
Rep. Kilmer is Chair Emeritus of the New Democrat Coalition and a member of the House Appropriations Committee. Sarah previously worked for Rep. Josh Harder (D-CA) on the House Education and Labor Committee, and for Senate HELP Committee Chair Patty Murray (D-WA), who also chairs the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education. Earlier, she worked in Senator Murray’s Seattle district office and on state and local campaigns in Washington State.
